Founded in 2016, as Vedic Wisdom Press (VWP) as a unit of Vedic Management Center, Vivaswaan since 2021 is an international publishing & production label owned by Sheridan (WY) USA based Vedic Management Group LLC.

Vedic texts, from Vedas and Upanishads to Mahabharata, Shastras & Sutras, were not handed down to humanity as part of an unquestioned revelation from on high. Vedic teachings present the universal truth as realized within ones’ own consciousness by great sages and seers –known as Rishis (men) and Rishikas (women). Most of these seers chose to remain anonymous, following lives of solitude and introspection to remain untouched by the vanity and complications of human society.

While people wrongly call Krishna Dwaipayana Vyasa as Veda Vyasa, the “author” of Vedas, he acknowledges that he was but a compiler of the Vedas. Several Vedic compilers before him are mentioned in Vedic texts, showing an ongoing tradition, not the work of a single person.

Vivaswaan was a Rishi whose name appears  in Vedic texts from the Rigveda to Valmiki’s Ramayana, Vyasa’s Mahabharata’s (which includes Bhishma Parva part addressed to as “Bhagavad Gita”), and Kautilya’s Arthashastra. This is owing to his profound teachings on Manas (Mind), Yoga (Path of Wisdom) and the ideal of Stithaprajna (awakened conscious living) which forms the foundation of Vedic teachings on emotional wellbeing, management, and leadership.

Though Vivaswaan inspired many, he preferred to remain behind the scenes – like many Rishis whose names we do not know and history has forgotten. Vivaswaan was one of the first Rishis who walked the talk on the practice of Nishkama Karma (work for the good of all with detachment, without expectations of any personal reward).

We chose to use the name of Vivaswaan to help us present the greater Vedic knowledge and wisdom through our various publications and productions.

Our Vivaswaan publications and productions started with books by U. Mahesh Prabhu – an internationally published author, and media, management, and political consultant. Vivaswaan began its journey with the support of Dr David Frawley, (Acharya Vamadeva Shastri), a renowned educator on Yoga, Ayurveda, Vedanta, and Vedic studies. Vivaswaan’s first publication “Essentials of Vedic Wisdom for Blissful Living” had his foreword. It is primarily owing to his global readers that Vivaswaan made an impact.

In 2018, Vivaswaan published its first book by Dr Frawley entitled “Essence of Self-Realization” based upon the teachings of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi which is today our internationally bestselling title. Soon, Vivaswaan will bring out exclusive hardbound copies by Dr Frawley, including archival publications from the past and new books not published before.

We are keen to promote works that link us back to the whole of life. We hold that all living beings – not just humans – are part of a single vast family and that we are only custodians of the resources – intellectual or otherwise – we create or claim to own. Our publications and productions promote insights and ideals that can sustain balance and harmony on this planet and beyond. We will strive to resolve complex issues, difficulties, and conflicts through our own humble and sincere efforts. We follow the code that “it’s better to light a lamp than to curse the darkness,” by promoting sense of enduring optimism based upon recognizing the benefit nature of the universe as pervaded a single Self and Consciousness as the Vedas state.
